General Info:

The Rules for the Ulster Softball League follow the Adult Co-ed slow pitch Softball rules from the following sources:

Umpires should raise any: issues on the rules and scheduling through Maarten Blanken umpires@softballulster.com
                                          issues on game scheduling through Jose Santos competitions@softballulster.com

Things to bring to a game:

  • Match Card and Pen
  • List of registered players on each team
  • Clicker
  • Injury Report pg 1 and pg 2
  • Know the banned bat list or have a copy handy.

Match Cards should be used by umpires:

  • to record batting orders and carry out checklist at beginning of game
  • Record score
  • Record injuries (witness reports should be obtained and injury report filled in)
  • Signed by both captains
  • given/emailed/sent to Ashley Moore or handed to one of the SU council members.
     

Captains are responsible for having 2x12" and 2x11" game balls as specified in byelaws.
Field equipment: The home team will be responsible for the playing fields and facilities.

Points for Ulster League: 5 pts for win or walkover, 2 for a loss, 0 for a forfeit or conceding a walkover.
